01 / The problem
French draws have handed out more invitations than any other category in 2026. The cutoff is lower, so more people get the email. Then every one of them has the same 60 days as everyone else.
In 2024, 84% of French-category invitees were invited as Federal Skilled Workers. For a lot of them that means letters from employers in two or three countries, a bank letter with a six-month average, and a name that might be spelled three different ways across your documents.
How the 60 days go when you start lateDay
Invitation lands. You're one of thousands in the same French draw.
Your passport says one spelling. Your diploma and your old payslips say another.
Your former employer sends an attestation de travail with no hours and no duties.
The bank letter shows today's balance. Nothing about the last six months.
Deadline. The clock is the same length for every draw.
The people who submit on time started collecting documents before the invitation came.
02 / What it costs you
A standard work certificate proves you worked somewhere. It usually doesn't list your duties, your hours per week, or your salary, and those are the details an officer looks for.
If your letters aren't in English or French, you'll need a certified translation of each one, plus a scan of the original. A family member can't do the translation. Start early.

Guides for your situation
How this kit was built
Every requirement in the kit comes from IRCC's published guidance: its instructions for work experience letters and proof of funds, the Express Entry Year-End Report, and the official rounds of invitations data. Every number on this site names its source.
When IRCC changes a rule, the files get updated and you get the new version free.
What this isn't: advice from an immigration consultant or a lawyer. The kit is general information. If your situation is complicated, hire a licensed RCIC or lawyer. You'll still need these documents either way.
